The Saturdays performed yesterday night for a charity gig in London. The five-piece joined fellow Alexandra Burke, Little Mix, Chipmunk and Dionne Bromfield.

British singer Frankie Sandford is seeking medical treatment after sustaining a snowboarding injury. The Saturdays star has been taking lessons in the extreme sport, but a session went wrong and Sandford was left in severe pain over the weekend (07-08Jan12). In a series of posts on her Twitter.com page, she writes,

“After the falls at snowboarding I have spent the last few days unable to walk properly. Sit comfortably and being pretty much helpless.

“So… Now I can walk without needing a nice young man to help me. Chiropractor tomorrow! Ermmmm I’m scared. Not gonna lie!… Still not giving up it’s far too much fun! And the outfits are gloriously colourful and cosy!”

Get well soon Frankie! We love you!

Tune into Alan Carr’s Chatty Man on Sunday night at 10pm on Channel 4 to catch The Saturdays performing their new single ‘My Heart Takes Over’ on TV for the first time!

The five singers leapt into action after it was revealed their comrade Frankie Sandford had been out of action and in hospital since the beginning of the month. But Sandford soon cropped up on Twitter to say she has been cheering herself up during her mystery hiatus by watching Jonas Brothers films. Confusion surrounded her whereabouts at the weekend when she told bandmates Una Healy, Mollie King, Vanessa White and Rochelle Wiseman that she was missing them.
She sent a message on Twitter: ‘Sorry I haven’t tweeted in a while. I’ve not been very well. Miss u @MollieTheSats @unahealy @vanessawhite @RochelleTheSats I’ll b back soon x.’

Wiseman told Digital Spy: ‘No, we’re not splitting. Frankie’s not very well and you can’t even have a flu or a runny nose before people start saying you’ve left [the group].’

Sandford’s camp refused to address rumours over her treatment but said she was out of action on ‘doctor’s orders’.Booze and drugs were ruled out by her team who said reports that she ‘checked herself into a clinic’ were wrong. Going on her later tweets, the 22-year-old is fast on the mend after a Disney film fix. A second tweet read: ‘Watching camp rock 2 lol. Yes I’m 12 years old.’
Her treatment couldn’t come at a worse time as her group is preparing for the All Fired Up tour in just over six weeks – and a new album On Your Radar is out next month.

Sorry I haven’t Tweeted in a while. I’ve not been very well. Miss u. I’ll b back soon x

The Saturdays babe was admitted to a centre for “unconfirmed reasons” after disappearing off the party circuit for over a week. Her spokesman last night confirmed Frankie, 22, had signed into a clinic but said her treatment was nothing to do with drink or drugs and was not for a cosmetic procedure such as a boob or nose job. Frankie herself admitted she had been poorly after posting a message on Twitter to bandmates Rochelle Wiseman, 22, Una Healy, 30, Mollie King, 24, and Vanessa White, 21. She wrote over the weekend: “Sorry I haven’t Tweeted in a while. I’ve not been very well. Miss u. I’ll b back soon x.” It comes after the star missed several group outings, leaving fans wondering if the sexy girl group were on the verge of a split. Last week the band members went to view a new Marie Curie Hospice Centre being built in Solihull, West Mids, but Frankie was forced to pull out. Then she was also absent from a group visit to their vocal coach Priscilla Jones. Sources have said the singer is being supported by boyfriend and Manchester City footballer Wayne Bridge, 31, but they refused to speculate on the reasons why she has checked in.

GET WELL SOON FRANKIE, WE REALLY MISS U! WE LOVE YOU

The girls, minus Frankieyesterday donned hard hats and hi-vis vests as they showed their support for the new Marie Curie Hospice Centre being built in Solihull, BirminghamThey also added blue wellies with daffodils on them to their construction site look.  The new hospice will replace an existing one which has served patients for more than 45 years. It will include single en-suite rooms with garden access, as well as an expanded day therapy unit and will be the base for the charity’s nursing service in the West Midlands.

Frankie Sandford has quashed rumours that she is wearing a promise ring given to her by boyfriend Wayne Bridge. The Saturdays singer is in fact wearing a ring that belonged to her late grandmother.

“So…its not a promise ring…it was my nans ring.we lost her last year. ive just had it all fixed x,” Frankie Tweeted.

Rumours of an engagement have been circulating for a while, so when Frankie was spotted with the ring on her middle finger, people assumed it was some sort of pre-engagement ring… as you do.

“OMG!!! We have crossed 800,000 fans on Facebook! Wow, that’s a lot of you. Thanks Team Sats,” they wrote on their official Twitter account.

The girls were recently in Iceland to film their new video for forthcoming single ‘My Heart Takes Over’ where they encountered freezing conditions. But they managed to get back to the UK in time over the weekend to soak up the autumn heatwave.

“Just back from Iceland,” Una tweeted. “The weather was really wet and windy and freezing so looking forward to this heatwave we are having.”

Frankie added: “We’re baaaaack! Only The Saturdays would go to a freezing country while it’s baking in England! Lol.”

‘My Heart Takes Over’ will be released on 13 November.
